Eight dead, seven injured as vehicle falls into gorge

Eight people have been killed and seven injured when their vehicle fell into a deep gorge in Kalsi area of the district, police said here today.
The incident happened late last night and the injured were taken to nearby Lehman Hospital in Vikasnagar area, said ADG (Law and Order) Anil Raturi.
The rescue operation was started immediately after the information reached the officials and efforts were on to pull out the ill-fated vehicle, he said.
The reason behind the mishap is being probed, he added.
