"From January 1 till March 26, 7,112 samples were tested, of which 2,216 found to be positive. The number of deaths because of swine flu and other complications stood at 75 as on date," a bulletin on swine flu issued by the state government said here today.
It said eight samples out of the 47 which were sent for analysis yesterday, tested positive for the H1N1 virus.
"The number of positive cases reported in the last six days (up to March 26) is 32, 13, 7, 16, 15 and eight," the bulletin said.
Sufficient stock of medicines and testing kits are available at hospitals in the state, the bulletin added.
