"A minor scuffle between a motorcycle rider Mohammad Rafiq and a local man turned ugly and led to heavy stone pelting between the two groups leaving eight injured," police said.
"Rafiq's motorcycle hit a local man, who thrashed him," they said adding, "Friends and relatives of Rafiq came to his rescue and resorted to stone pelting on the locals."
"A case has been registered and additional force deployed in the area to maintain law and order," he said.
