Eight juveniles in conflict with law escaped from a correctional home here after breaking a window of their room on Thursday, the police said.
Those who escaped were aged between 13 and 17, said inspector Virendra Chauhan of Jehangirabad police station.
They were being tried for offences such as thefts and fights.
Five of the boys were Bhopal residents, two from Raisen and one from Vidisha, he added.
The police have launched a search, he said.
