Eight WB govt hospitals now have CCUs

Eight government hospital in West Bengal were today equipped with new critical care units to tackle serious patients.
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee inaugurated the facilities here for hospitals in Cooch Behar, Howrah, Murshidabad, Kolkata, Purulia and Nadia through remote control.
Equipped with ventilator, multi-channel monitor, pulse generator, BiPAP machine for non-invasive ventilation and arterial blood gas analyser, all the CCUs would have 12 beds.
She also inaugurated the renovated Nazrul Mancha.
A joint project of the KMDA and KIT, the renovated auditorium had a top coverage of around 4650 sq m and was now air-conditioned.
The seating capacity would be 2500.
