Eight-yr-old allegedly raped by cousin

An eight-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her cousin in the Reoti area here, the police said today.
The incident took place yesterday afternoon when the girl, who was alone in her house, was raped by her 22-year-old cousin, Superintendent of Police, Sujata Singh said.
An FIR was lodged in this connection by the victim's mother under the POCSO Act and IPC section 376 (rape), the SP said.
The police is trying to arrest the accused, who is absconding, she added.
