Elderly man beaten to death over parking in Rajasthan

An elderly man was allegedly beaten to death by eight persons for intervening in a quarrel between two groups over parking in Sujandesar area of the district, police said today.
60-year-old Purkharam was beaten with batons when he tried to solve a quarrel between Bhikharam Nayak and his neighbour Bablu over parking today, they said.
Nayak had parked his pick up van last night outside Bablu's house, who raised objection over the parking this morning, police said.
Bablu along with seven others quarreled with Bhikharam when the victim intervened in the matter, police said.
His intervention annoyed Bablu who along with seven others thrashed the victim with baton, they said.

Pukharam was rushed to the district hospital where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
His body was handed over to family after postmortem, police said, adding, a case of murder has been registered against Bablu and eight others and efforts are on to nab them.
