Elderly woman duped of land worth Rs 50 lakh

An elderly woman was allegedly duped into transferring land worth around Rs 50 lakh, police said.
The accused, identified as Chiranjilal, Ajay Kumar and Shivcharan defrauded Jamna, a resident of Ballabhgarh village here, of transferring 4 kanals and 10 marlas of land on the pretext of helping her avail the pension scheme, police said.
One kanal is equivalent to 605 square yards and one marla is nearly 30 square yards.
Following her complaint, a case of fraud was registered yesterday against the trio, they said, adding, further investigation in the case is on.
