Elegant embellished gowns dominate Bafta 2016 red carpet

From Cate Blanchett's intricately embroidered gown to Saoirse Ronan's body-hugging strapless number, leading ladies put their best foot forward despite the cold weather at the Baftas.
Blanchett may have lost bast actress trophy to an absent Brie Larson but she stole the show in a heavily embellished McQueen gown, which she teamed up with danglers and bracelet.
Actress Julianne Moore looked like a vision in her elegant monochrome Armani gown. She kept the look minimal by opting for a hot pink lipsticks, emerald earrings with her hair in a neat bun.
"Brooklyn" star Ronan was on trend in her heavily strapless Burberry dress and beaded Chopard necklace.
Best supporting actress winner Kate Winslet went for a one-shoulder Antonio Dorani black dress with interesting cuts.
Rooney Mara wowed in her divine dress, complete with a crochet detailing across the fabric and delicate additions across her shoulders.
