Actress Ellen Page is set to receive the National Vanguard Award at the Human Rights Campaign's upcoming annual dinner, for her courage and leadership.
Vice President Joseph Biden will deliver the keynote address at the event, which takes place on October 3 in Washington, DC, reported Entertainment Weekly.
Page, 28, who came out as gay last year, will be honoured with the award by actress Allison Janney, who co-stars with her in the upcoming comedy-drama "Tallulah".
"Ellen Page has been an inspiration for LGBT youth around the world. Her willingness to speak her truth for all to hear, and to confront injustice against LGBT people, has made her a role model and there is no one more deserving of HRC's National Vanguard Award," HRC president Chad Griffin said.
The "Juno" star will be next seen in gay-rights drama "Freeheld", alongside Julianne Moore. The movie is scheduled to release on October 2.
