Elvis Presley's first record 'My Happiness' which cost the late King of Rock N Roll USD 4 has been bought by an anonymous buyer for USD 300,000.
The one of a kind memorabilia was put on the auction block on what would have been the singer's 80th birthday at his former home Graceland, reported Ace Showbiz.
The 78 RPM acetate was recorded by the legendary singer at Sun Records in Memphis in 1953 when he was 18 years old. It was reportedly meant as gift for his mother Gladys. He left it at a friend's house when he stopped by to listen to the track because his family did not have a record player.
It had since been kept in a safe by the friend Ed Leek and was later inherited by his niece Lorisa Hilburn after his death.
The starting bid for the rare item was set at USD 50,000 on January 8.
At a separate auction, Presley's two private planes are on sale. One is a refurbished Convair 880 jet named after named after his only daughter Lisa Marie Presley, and the other is a Lockheed JetStar named The Hound Dog II, a less opulent plane purchased by the singer to take him on his trips while the Lisa Marie was being revamped.
