The new weekly service introduced from June 1 is to tap the increasing cargo movements between Hong Kong and New Delhi, which is the country's busiest cargo hub.
Some of the key exports carried by Emirates SkyCargo from Hong Kong, which is the world's top cargo hub to India include pharmaceutical raw materials, electronics and machinery, while key exports from Delhi include leather goods, garments, pharmaceuticals and perishables.
Emirates SkyCargo already operates cargo services twice a week from Shanghai to Mumbai and onwards to Dubai and 18 dedicated cargo flights from Hong Kong to Dubai.
SkyCargo will deploy a Boeing 777-F, providing 100 tonne cargo capacity on Wednesdays from Hong Kong and leave Delhi on Thursdays to reach Dubai on the same day.
