The 26-year-old actress, who appeared on "Conan", revealed that the "Annie Hall" director asked her for a "good example" of a Twitter post.
"He asked me what Twitter was. I had to explain Twitter to him,'It's 140 characters, you have to write these sentences. I don't really understand the point unless you are a musician advertising a gig or you are comedian doing one liners'."
Stone, who went to the account of Joyce Carol Oates and chose a quote the author had posted was left amused, as it turned out to be one of veteran filmmaker's own.
The actor revealed he said the line is from the 1989 film "Crimes and Misdemeanors" which he starred in with Alan Alda.
