Employees stage demonstration over delayed salary

Over 300 employees of the Hindustan Photo Films today staged a demonstration in front of the factory at Aruvangadu on the outskirts protesting against the delay in getting last month's salary.
The sick PSU had a total of over 500 employees, from which 273 opted out taking VRS last month.
As the remaining employees did not get the salary of February, they, including 60 women, came on to the streets and staged demonstration for the delay, police said.
Though, there was no production in the factory, which once manufactured Indu photo films and X-Ray films, for the last five years employees were given salary, who used to come in one shift, union sources said.

Union minster of states for heavy industries G M Siddhswara had visited the factory last week and discussed about the possibility of its revival under Make in India program.
