today derailed near Jolarpettai, hampering rail services for more than an hour this morning, railway sources said.
There were no casualties, they said.
"The 11th and 12th empty wagons of the goods train which was on its way to Bangalore derailed today around 8.30am near Jolarpettai", a senior railway official told PTI.
"Yes, some trains were delayed. The Chennai-Mysore Shatabdi Express got delayed for more than a hour", he said to a query.
He said officials went to the spot and the empty wagons were put back on the tracks around 10.30am and the route thrown open to traffic.
