Endangered Bengal Slow Loris rescued

The animal which was in an unconscious state was actually bought by the villager at Rs 300 from the hunters who captured the animal alive last night from a community forest Sibbari-Demagre area, an official of the Samrakshan Trust said.

The trust is a registered non-profit organisation working in India for sustainable livelihoods for forest dependent communities and ensuring a kinder world for animals.

The villager, identified as Raju R Marak convinced the hunters to part with their catch before rushing the Slow Loris to Samrakshan Trust
