Engineer arrested for clicking photographs, raping woman

An engineer, who allegedly clicked some nude photographs of a woman and raped her by threatening to make the clips public on social networking sites, was today arrested by Kavi Nagar police here, an official said.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Ran Vijay Singh said that Kavi Nagar Police arrested Deepak, a resident of Shastri Nagar, and sent him to jail.
The victim had alleged that Deepak had clicked her nude pictures on his mobile phone and raped her by threatening to make the clips public on social networking sites.
The DSP said that a case has been registered under Section 376 (rape) of IPC and the victim has been referred to government hospital for medical examination.
