The state government is very serious on the issue of cleanliness as it is directly linked to health, the chief minister, who was reviewing the works of the urban development department, said.
Directing officials to make effective arrangements for ensuring hygiene and cleanliness, he said this can effectively check the spread of diseases like Japanese Encephalitis, dengue and malaria.
Since these diseases spread because of unhygienic conditions, stern action will be taken against officials found not ensuring proper cleanliness, the chief minister warned.
