The governor has also sought an action taken report from the Vice Chancellors on the participation inNational AcademicDepository and on the conduct of 'Swachchta Hi Sewa' campaign among colleges and affiliated institutions, an official release said here today.
He also forwarded a letter received from the Union Home Ministry regarding Prime Minister Narendra Modi's appeal to conduct the campaign between September 15 and October 2 to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan for consideration, it said.
Depository, set up by the Union Ministry of Human Resources Development, ensures 24x7 digital safe store house of all academic awards like degrees, mark lists, diplomas and cerficiates.
It allows institutions to upload academic awards and records which are authenticated and validated.
President Ram Nath Kovind had launched 'Swachchata Hi Seva' (Cleanliness is Service) sanitation campaign in Uttar Pradesh on September 15.
The nationwide campaign is aimed at highlighting the Modi government's flagship cleanliness initiative Swachh Bharat Mission.
