Rajasthan governor Kalyan Singh today asked the officers in the state to complete developmental works in tribal areas and ensure proper implementation of tribal welfare schemes.
The officers should identify the departments which show negligence in development works in the tribal area and take action against those who show dereliction of duty, he said.
Chairing a meeting of the senior officers of the departments related with tribal welfare, the governor issued detailed instructions and asked them to follow a positive outlook in disposing works related to development in tribal area.
He said special focus should be given on literacy, education, health, housing and nutrition among others in these areas.
No post should be kept vacant in the tribal sub-plan area to ensure uninterrupted work there, he said and emphasised on inflow of employees from non-tribal area to tribal area.
Transfer policy should be of such a kind which can make the flow of employees from non tribal area to tribal area, a release quoting the governor said.
He also asked the officers to work towards increasing the literacy rate in these areas and to create awareness against superstition.
