"CRPF has requested that its jawans who are about to retire be imparted courses in entrepreneurship so that they can set up their own businesses post retirement," Rudy said in the presence of Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh here.
Rudy said an MoU in this regard will be signed soon to operationalise the arrangement.
Addressing the National Entrepreneurship Awards ceremony here, Singh called India an innovation-driven country and observed that the country had given birth to several technological and science innovations in the past.
He said the number of people having formal training in India, which currently stands at a meagre 2.5 per cent, will rise in the coming years due to the government's efforts.
The first-ever National Entrepreneurship Awards honoured young entrepreneurs for their outstanding efforts in the field of entrepreneurship development.
