Environment Ministry re-constitutes 14-member panel

M Raman is the chairman of the reconstituted Expert Appraisal Committee (Industry) for environmental impact assessment of projects, officials said.

The members comprise R K Garg, Shiban Raina, R C Gupta, Prem Shankar Dubey, Rajat Roy Choudhary, R M Mathur, S K Dave, B Sengupta, S D Attri, Antony Gnanamuthu, C S Dubey, Niranjan Raghunath and P L Ahujarai.

The committee scrutinises proposals for determining Terms of Reference (TORs) for undertaking detailed environmental impact study and undertake site inspection, if required.

It also scrutinise environmental impacts and examine environmental management plans prepared and submitted by project authorities.
