Escorts tractor sales down 7% at 3,140 units in January

Engineering and farm equipment major Escorts today reported 6.79% decline in its tractor sales in January at 3,140 units.

It had sold 3,369 units in the same month last year.

Domestic sales during the month were down 4.15% at 3,089 units compared with 3,223 in January last year, the company said in a BSE filing.

The firm said its exports in January this year were down 65.06% at 51 units as against 146 in the year-ago period.
