The company had sold 4,223 units in the same month of last year, Escorts Ltd said in a BSE filing.
Domestic tractor sales were at 5,327 units as against 4,163 units in March last year, up 28 per cent, it said.
Exports also went up 26.7 per cent at 76 units in March this year as compared to 60 units in the year-ago month, it said.
For the fiscal 2015-16, Escorts said its total sales were at 51,455 units as against 59,779 units in the previous year, down 13.9 per cent.
