Bollywood actress Esha Gupta sashayed down the ramp wearing a black and golden asymmetrical lehenga in the backdrop of old film numbers.
Inspired by the first design movement Art Deco, the collection was divided into two parts - Label Ritu Kumar brand and second Ritu Kumar Couture.
Esha, who started her modelling career with Ritu, said, "I just adore her designs. I know Ritu aunty since my modelling
days and I think she is absolutely fantastic with her designs.
"When I started as the model, she was one of the designers with whom I worked. I remember during my initial days she only used to shoot with the big models but when she saw me, she started working with. Then she designed for my Miss International outfit and today I am here. We are always like family.
Ritu's collection presented the motifs and moods of the 1930 era beautifully. Dropped waists, bold forms and delicate embroideries are juxtaposed with modern techniques and shaping.
