44-year-old Khan was produced before Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Sanjay Khanagwal after expiry of his police remand and the crime branch of Delhi Police sought his further custodial interrogation, saying it was needed to unearth the larger conspiracy.
The police told the court that Khan, who was working as an assistant librarian in a high school in Rajouri district in Jammu and Kashmir, was in regular touch with a Pakistan-based ISI operative named Faisal and he used to pass sensitive information to him.
The police also said that various sensitive documents have been recovered from Khan and he was required to be confronted with the arrested co-accused Abdul Rasheed, a BSF head constable, in this regard.
They also alleged that Khan used to collect information and documents from Rasheed and, thereafter, he used to send them to his Pakistan-based handlers.
