Vinod Pandit, Chairman All Parties Migrants Coordination Committee (APMCC) said, "Kashmiri Pandits who are living in forced exile for the past 26 years have faced government apathy due to absence of any constitutional authority to deal with affairs related to their welfare."
He said organisations like Relief Department for migrants should be disbanded and all the affairs should be handed over to the Kashmiri Pandit Development, Welfare Board with full representation of the community.
King Bharati, National Spokesperson of APMCC said there have always been talks of return of migrants to the Valley, establishing townships and enhancement of relief, but on ground nothing has happened due to absence of a constitutional authority that can effectively take-up these issues with the government.
Bharati said, "The establishment of Welfare, Development Board exclusively for Kashmiri Pandits envisaged by APMCC in its Vision Document, would go a long way to mitigate the problems of the community".
