Estranged Congress leader and Rajya Sabha member P.Kannan today flayed the Rangasamy-led AINRC government here for "failure" to maintain law and order and vowed to unseat it.
Addressing his supporters and leading a demonstration, he also claimed that the government also failed to implement promises held out during the 2011 assembly polls.
Kannan said his agitation would go on till the Rangasamy-led government was unseated.
He said a detailed probe should be conducted by a retired judge of Supreme Court or a serving judge of a High Court into the crimes of murder as "law and order has been in shambles" ever since the present government assumed office some three years ago.
Kannan had been distancing himself from all programmes of the Congress party and today's protest by his supporters was a virtual show of strength.
