Ethiopian Airlines, which was planning to operate from Chennai early April 2020, on Tuesday announced postponing the flight until further notice following the Covid-19 situation prevailing globally.
Ethiopian Airlines, the leading aviation group in Africa, was planning to operate from Chennai early April 2020, a release said here.
"However, due to the Covid-19 situation prevailing globally, the airlines said the same flight has been postponed until further notice and we will keep the public or media informed of the new scheduled date," it added.
Ethiopian Airlines operates twice-daily flights from Addis Ababa to Mumbai and Delhi each. While it operates an A350-900 to Mumbai on both frequencies, it operates 787s to Delhi on both flights.
Last year, Ethiopian Airlines also added flights between Bengaluru and Addis Ababa.
