EU webinars to connect Indian students with EU universities

European Union is organising a series of webinars from September 20-23 to provide a virtual dialogue platform between European higher education institutions and Indian/South Asian students.
The webinars are being held as part of the European Higher Education Virtual Fair India and South Asia 2016.
"Through the European Higher Education Virtual Fair, we seek to provide a platform to the aspiring students to interact with leading universities across Europe and explore educational, scholarship and career opportunities available in Europe," Tomasz Kozlowski, Ambassador of European Union, said.

Paytm to power IRCTC's payment gateway
* Mobile payment and commerce platform Paytm has tied up with the country's largest rail ticketing platform IRCTC to enable digital payments for travellers.
The Paytm Wallet is already accepted on the IRCTC platform and is in addition to the native integration of Paytm's payment gateway to the IRCTC application, a company statement said today.

"Our deeper integration with IRCTC platform will not only provide greater convenience to its users but would also increase the success rates of such transactions," Paytm's Sr. Vice President Kiran Vasireddy said.

Freecharge enables 12,000 autos to adopt cashless payments * Digital payments platform Freecharge has enabled 12,000 auto rickshaws to go cashless in partnership with auto aggregator Jugnoo, across 40 cities in the country.
It will also help in augmenting Jugnoo's services and maximise its business reach across the subcontinent, a statement from Freecharge said today.
With this partnership, Freecharge will further strengthen its presence across tier II and tier III cities in India, encouraging commuters to go cashless for their daily commute, it said.

* Chinese handset maker Oppo has partnered with Reliance Jio for the latter's 'Welcome Offer' that will give free data services to users till the end of the year.
The offer would be available on F1, F1 Plus, F1s, A37 and Neo 7.
As part of its test launch, Jio has already partnered with over 20 brands to provide free 90-day unlimited calls and high-speed mobile broadband trials to 4G smartphone users.

Sterling and Wilson bags MEP contract from AIG * Sterling and Wilson has bagged a mechanical, electrical, public health system and building management system contract from the Asian Institute of Gastroenterology (AIG) for its 700-bed hospital in Hyderabad.
The scope of work under this contract will include setting up of air conditioning, electrical, plumbing and fire fighting, building management system works for the complete facility which includes operation theatres, ICU's, tissue therapy, nuclear lab, OPD's, inpatients rooms, and consultation rooms, a company statement said today.

Flipkart opens new warehouse in Lucknow
* Ahead of its 'Big Billion Days' sale, Flipkart has set up a new warehouse in Lucknow to ensure effective order management for sellers and delivery experience for customers.
This latest addition will take Flipkart's warehouse count in the country to 18 with a total storage space of 6.2 million cubic feet, Flipkart said in a statement.
The new warehouse will stock products across electronics, household and lifestyle categories, it added.
It has a 50,000 cubic feet storage space and a ground space of 55,000 square feet that houses the Fulfilment Centre and Mother Hub. It can store up to 3 lakh products.

'Ola Corporate enables business travel for over 2lk employees' * Transportation app Ola today said it has seen a strong uptake of its 'Corporate' solution and is working with enterprises like Airtel, Reliance ADAG and Larsen and Toubro.
Launched in January this year, Ola Corporate is enabling business travel for more than 2 lakh employees in over 100 cities across India, Ola said in a statement.
"We launched Ola Corporate in the beginning of the year, inheriting benefits of Ola's technology platform to simplify the way executives travel for business," Ola Head Corporate Ankit Jain said.
Ola is also working with companies like Taj Hotels and Godrej apart from startups, SMEs, PSUs and large conglomerates, he added.

inFeedo raises USD 150,000 funding led by Redcliffe Capital * HR analytics startup inFeedo today said it has raised funds worth USD 150,000 (about 1 crore), led by UK-based hedge fund, Redcliffe Capital.
This angel round also saw participation from a family office of a few HNIs. InFeedo has previously raised funds from Palash Jain, a former Google India executive.
Its clients includes companies like MakeMyTrip, PayU, Lava Mobile, Knowlarity, RedBus and Nearbuy.
InFeedo will use the funds to scale its international presence and hire talent to further enhance the capabilities of Amber, its AI (artificial intelligence) chatbot.
