Eureka Forbes to launch AVF-based water filters with PRO

Home appliances maker Eureka Forbes, a Shapoorji Pallonji Group company, has entered into a strategic partnership with Canada-based Process Research ORTECH to launch Automated Variable Filtration (AVF) technology-based water purifiers in India.
Both the firms will leverage their core competencies to introduce high quality water filtration system, they said in a joint statement.
Under the agreement, Eureka Forbes will set up manufacturing and infrastructural facilities here and the Canadian firm will provide the core technological knowhow, it added.
Commenting on the development, Eureka Forbes Executive Vice Chairman Suresh L Goklaney said: "The AVF technology will remain an integral part of our institutional technology portfolio which will offer differentiated and cost-effective solutions to our customers in both industrial and municipal space".
Process Research Ortech Inc Vice-Chairman and Chief Executive Officer V I Lakshmanan said: "This technology also fits with the 'Clean Ganga' project of the Indian government as the operating costs are very low compared to membranes, while delivering excellent quality output water".
Process Research ORTECH Inc incubates and commercialises innovative technologies for process industries.
In addition to that, Eureka Forbes' institutional ultra-filtration (UF) system, which was successfully piloted in Canada, will be marketed by PRO for select applications in Canada.
