The PEB sector is growing at 15 per cent on account of strong demand from industrial and infrastructure sectors as well as from traditional users of RCC/structural steel buildings, who are now converting to modern technologies like PEB, Everest Industries President, Steel Building Division Manish Garg told PTI.
"We already have one manufacturing facility at Bhagwanpur in Uttarakhand. With this new facility in Dahej, we expect our revenues from the PEB business to increase from Rs 300 crore currently to Rs 600 crore in the next two years," he said.
"The production capacity for the new plant is 60,000 million tonne per annum and will cater primarily to markets of Gujarat, Maharashtra, Goa, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, parts of Rajasthan, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu," Garg said.
He expressed hope that the order book growth momentum in PEB segment will continue by 25 per cent every year.

At present, the company's PEB order book stands at Rs 310 crore with nearly 500 projects in over 25 states. The PEB market is around Rs 4,000 crore and is growing at around 35 per cent.
Everest offers a varied range of fibre cement products covering both roofing as well as boards. It exports to Asia, Africa, South Pacific and Europe.
With the new facility, Everest Industries now has eight manufacturing plants across India located in Kymore (Madhya Pradesh), Podanur (Tamil Nadu), Kolkata (West Bengal), Nashik (Maharashtra) Bhagwanpur (Uttarakand), Baleshwar (Odisha) Ranchi (Jharkhand) and Dahej (Gujarat).
