So far, about 86 per cent of the target has been achieved, he added.
Khattar was speaking at the 4th meeting of Sub Group of Chief Ministers Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (Niti Aayog) held here today.
He put forth various suggestions regarding Swachh Bharat Abhiyan in the meeting held under the Chairmanship of Chandra Babu Naidu, the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and Convener of the Sub Group.
The decision of Haryana Government to make construction of toilets in their homes as a mandatory condition for the candidates of Panchayati Raj Institute elections was mentioned in the meeting as a significant step towards Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, an official statement released here said.

The statement added that today was the 4th and last meeting of Niti Aayog and within 10 days the report of the meeting would be sent to the Union Government along with its recommendations.
Khattar also said that after detailed discussion in all the four meetings of Sub Groups, a unanimous recommendation has been made to provide a grant of Rs 15,000 each to the BPL families for the construction of toilets and to give awards at Village to State level for Swachhta Abhiyan.
The Haryana CM also put forth the suggestion to create awareness amongst the people against urinating at open areas through private channels, FM radio and community radio.
