Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today asked officials to evolve an effective mechanism to implement the government's 'Rythu Bima' insurance scheme.
The scheme would be launched from August 15.
Rao said the family of a deceased farmer should be paid the insurance amount Rs five lakh within 10 days after his death, a release from the Chief Minister's office said.
"The Chief Minister made it clear that an effective mechanism should be developed so as to reach the insurance amount cheque to the farmer as per the schedule within 10 days after the death occurs," it said.
