"It is the need of the hour that the citizenry should collectively seek change of their political system by electing committed people to Parliament so that a good and corruption-free governance could be put in place to secure the future of the younger generation," Singh said.
While addressing a meeting of the India Against Corruption workers, he said Hazare was expected to announce the future course of action of his agitation.
On the protests taking place in Delhi and elsewhere in the country by youths demanding enactment of a stringent law to punish those perpetrating crimes on women, Singh said it was obvious that the younger generation wanted good governance and effective policy for security of the society.
The UPA government must bow to widespread demand for convening of a special session of Parliament to enact a strong law to punish rapists, the former army chief said.
On the Centre's decision to withdraw security to him, Singh said he was not worried about his personal nor he had any remorse for what he had been doing since retirement as the army chief last year.
Singh also thanked the Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for granting permission for organizing anti-corruption rally at Patna.
