"General Singh met Hazare and enquired about his health," Hazare's associate Datta Awari told PTI over phone.

General Singh, who retired in May this year, has been supportive of issues raised by Hazare and has shared dais with him in the past.

The 75-year-old social activist recently underwent a cataract surgery and is recuperating at his village Ralegan Siddhi in Western Maharashtra.

"Kiran Bedi and a few other social activists will meet Hazare tomorrow," Awari said.

Hazare yesterday announced that the "battle for Jan Lokpal and corruption-free India" will commence from Patna in January.

Thousands of youth are willing to participate in the movement against graft and with the help of a technology- enabled network, their number will swell into crores, the Gandhian has said.

A meeting of 10 technical experts was held in Ralegan Siddhi on October 14 to use technology for building a countrywide organisation, he said.
