Hindurao Ingale in his petition claims to have participated in the Indo-Pak war of 1971, during which he sustained severe injuries which have left him immobile and handicapped.
"Despite suffering injuries, the petitioner continued to serve till 1975. However, the petitioner was denied the benefit of disability pension after it was recorded in the discharge book that he was discharged from the army at his own request," the petition claims.
The petitioner claims to have written several letters to the concerned authorities seeking financial help.
Ingale has sought the high court to direct the concerned authority to grant him disability pension and arrears of the same from the date he was discharged from army.
He has also sought a direction to Maharashtra government to allot him agricultural land as prescribed in a Government Resolution of December 30, 1971.
