Ex Dy Speaker slams BJP for stalling Parliament

"As a parliamentarian I hate disruptions of parliament because if we stall the functioning of house we will not be doing justice to the confidence of people as parliament is a place for debate and discussions. We can hold the government responsible through debate and not by stalling the house," he said.

He was speaking on the sidelines of ICAI's regional conference here today.

The Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) last week revealed that lack of transparency in the allocation of coal blocks to private players resulted in the loss of a whopping Rs 1.85 lakh crore to the exchequer.

Khan said the CAG's loss report is based on assumption.
