Former international carrom player and administrator Prakash Rele passed away following a cardiac arrest here late Wednesday evening.
He was 78 and is survived by his wife Leena and two sons, a media release issued here said Thursday.
Rele had represented India in a test series against Sri Lanka in 1960.
He was also the joint secretary of the Maharashtra Carrom Association and was one of the members who was instrumental in redrafting the Laws of Carrom.
Rele was also an international carrom umpire.
His funeral took place in suburban Borivali, added the release.
