Jalees Ahmed, husband of former legislator Zahida, was granted bail yesterday by the High Court, but was arrested again from the Sewar jail today at the time of his release.
Ahmed was declared a proclaimed offender by a local court in January this year and was arrested in May on charge of rape which allegedly took place in 2010.
"A separate case against Ahmed for not being obedient to an order from pubic servant was registered against him and he was arrested in that case today," IG Bharatpur, Biju George said.
His wife Zahida was a former MLA and Parliamentary Secretary in the previous Congress government.
