The couple, who separated after 24 years of marriage over Wood's affair with a 20-year-old cocktail waitress, have had a fresh fall out now that Jo has planned to sell off his belongings, reported Daily Mail.

In an attempt to block the two-day sale next month, the 65-year-old guitarist has issued a legal letter, saying items under the hammer include personal belongings which are not his ex-wife's to sell.

But Jo said she is fed up paying for the stuff to be stored and if her former husband wants it back, he can afford to bid for it.

She will use the money to help support their children.

"It was costing me something like 10,000 pounds a year to keep it in a massive warehouse in Brixton. I did say to Ronnie, 'Do you want to come down to the warehouse and have a look?' But he didn't and I couldn't keep paying to keep it there month after month," said Jo.

The sale, listed as Property From The Collection Of Ronnie And Jo Wood, is being handled by Los Angeles-based Julien's Auctions.

Lots include Wood's 1955 Fender Stratocaster guitar, valued at 37,000 pounds, and stage outfits including a leather jacket, estimated at 750 pounds, worn on stage in San Francisco.

News of the sale was met with anger by Wood. His spokesman said, "Ronnie is shocked this auction is being misrepresented as a joint sale. This is not the case."
