One such centre will be opened at the Central railway station here tomorrow, which will be exclusively manned by women Railway officials including RPF, a press release said.
"The purpose is to provide all types of assistance to women passengers by senior railway women officials addressing primarily all their needs of security and information," it said.
The assistance booth will function round-the-clock and will also have a room for feeding mothers.
Wheelchairs, easy service of porters, accessibility to prepaid autorickshaws and taxies are some of the other facilities.
All women passengers anywhere in Trivandrum Division which spans from Tirunelveli, Kanyakumari to Shornur can make use of the helpline number in case of any emergency.
