Speaking on the occasion, the chief minister said that "the state legislature has a historical and glorious tradition".
"Starting from the first sitting on January 8, 1887 in Allahabad's Thornhil Main Memorial Building, the journey of taking democratic traditions forward was still continuing," Yadav said.
Till a permanent building of the Legislative Assembly came up in Lucknow, the memorial building had been a witness to many important legislations and acts being drafted, he said, adding that through the 125 year celebrations, people would become aware of the legislature's rich historical tradition.
The exhibition has pictures of all the governors of Uttar Pradesh, speakers of Assembly and chief ministers besides the acts and legislations drafted in the Memorial Building.
The photo exhibition will remain open for general public till January 10.
