The exhibition, which is on till November 27, has been organised by the Embassy of India in Belgrade in collaboration with the New Delhi-based Indian Council for Cultural Relations.
The embassy said in a statement that the event is noteworthy as Tagore has a special connection with Serbia.
"Gurudev Tagore visited Serbia (former Yugoslavia) in 1926 and gave two lectures at Belgrade University," the statement said, adding that the Nobel laureate for Literature had also interacted with some notable people on that visit.
The exhibition is a tribute to Tagore, one of the greatest and best-known ambassadors of Indian culture, it added.
Some of the artwork at the exhibition was also displayed at the India booth at the recently-held 'Belgrade International Book Fair'.
