: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik Wednesday invited industrialists and entrepreneurs from Tamil Nadu to invest in his state and participate in the second edition of 'Make In Odisha' conclave in November.
Participating in a roadshow on 'Odisha Investors' Meet' here, jointly organised by Odisha government's industries department and trade body FICCI, he invited investors to set up manufacturing facilities in his state.
"I have come here to meet the investor community and invite them to set up manufacturing facilities in Odisha".
Noting that the state was fast emerging as a manufacturing hub of Eastern India, he said his government would organise the second edition of the flagship initiative 'Make in Odisha' conclave between November 11 to 15 this year in Bhubhaneshwar.
"It will be showcase the manufacturing prowess of the State and the investment opportunity available across various sectors", he said.
Patnaik said the first edition of the conference in 2016 had evoked enthusiastic response with about Rs two lakh crore investments being announced.

"65 per cent of the projects are at various stages of approval and implementation", he said, adding the natural strength of Odisha was that it was a mineral rich state.
"During the last 18 years, my government focused on enhancing production of key minerals and value added products", he said.
The Chief Minister later gave away the 400th investment proposal submitted by Tata Steel Processing and Distribution Ltd. under its Go-Swift initiative, a single window portal for investor facilitation.
Patnaik also asked budding entrepreneurs and students to come up with innovative solutions to the pressing challenges of public service delivery, as well as those concerning the industry and consumers.
