Explosion on top floor of multi-storey building in Siliguri

An explosion led to a fire on the top floor of a multi-storey building near Purnami Mandir on Sevoke Road here but there was no report of any casualty.
Two fire engines rushed to the spot but the local people had almost doused the flames by then.
A fire brigade official claimed that deodorant bottles and firecrackers stored on the top floor of the 7-storey building led to the explosion.
Police, however, have not confirmed the exact cause of explosion yet.
The incident created a panic among local people but no one was hurt, a police official said.
