Explosives recovered in Karbi Anglong

Explosives, detonators and a pistol were recovered and 11 persons apprehended by security forces in two separate incidents in central Assam's Karb Anglong district today, said police sources here.
"250 gm of explosive Neogel-90, six detonators, two inch detonating cord* *cordtex were recovered inside a vehicle near Bijoy Bagan, under Borpothar Police Station, during an 'area domination' conducted jointly by the 136 company of CRPF and police.
Seven persons were also apprehended during the operation, the sources said.
At DAV Point in Diphu, four persons were nabbed by police with a 9-mm pistol, two magazines and a vehicle, they said.

Police also seized 50 kg ganja from a woman identified as Mina Singh, hailing from Bardhaman in West Bengal, when she was **traveling in an auto rickshaw at Khatkhati Naka Point in karbi Anglong district.
