Explosives seized in UP; 2 arrested

Two persons were arrested with huge cache of explosive material, claimed to be meant for mining work but without valid documents, in Mahoba district of Uttar Pradesh, police said today.
Suresh Sahu and Maiku were arrested yesterday from Kabrai area and 14 sacks of Ammonium Nitrate, 2,600 cells, 7,250 detonators were recovered from them, IG, Law and Order, Amrendra Sengar told reporters here.
The accused told police that they had bought the explosives from Madhya Pradesh for mining work, he said, adding a probe is on in the matter.
