The charge sheet, which has been filed in the court of Special Judge B R Kedia, named head constable Dilip Singh and SHO Sahashtra Bahu Yadav as the accused.
The duo have been chargesheeted for offences of extortion, criminal conspiracy under Indian Penal Code and also under provisions of Prevention of Corruption Act for obtaining pecuniary advantage by illegal means.
The action was taken against the duo after an inquiry was initiated against them on a complaint made by Naresh Gupta, a north west Delhi resident.
According to police, in February 2009, Gupta's sister-in- law had suffered a fracture for which she was admitted in a city-based private hospital, where she was attended to by a female caretaker. Finding the caretaker good at her work, Gupta's family hired her to look after the patient, who was advised bed rest after being discharged.

While working for Guptas, the girl became over-friendly with their servant Niranjan due to which both of them were removed from the job, they said.
The SI had sought information about Niranjan and the same was provided by Gupta. On July 15, 2010, head constable Singh asked Gupta to join the probe and arrested him the next day accusing him of gangraping the girl, the charge sheet said.
When Gupta and her brother-in-law informed SHO Yadav about him being implicated, he demanded money to settle the matter and Rs seven lakh was given by the complainant in various instalments to Singh, it said.
