Undertrial Sunil Kumar, lodged with Tihar Prisons since six years, was found to have sought the facility of having home-made food after using a forged court order.

"We have asked the jail superintendents of all the nine prisons to look into the authenticity of all the extra facility permissions sought by different inmates from the courts," said Sunil Gupta, spokesperson and law officer Tihar Prisons.

These extra facility permissions include having home-made food, using bed, not wearing jail clothes and having a separate room.

"Additional sessions judge of Rohini court, Kamini Lao has lodged an FIR in this regard after she found that no such permission was granted by her," another jail official said.

"All involved in getting the forged court orders for seeking extra facility permission will be punished," he said.

At present, nearly 12,000 inmates are lodged in the nine jails of Tihar.
